A Story of Traditional Craftsmanship
Crafted from three separate wooden houses, this unique villa rests gently against an ancient banyan tree so wide that it takes three people to embrace its trunk. The weathered structures were rescued from local families who were replacing their traditional homes with modern houses, giving the timber a second life while honoring the heritage of Lanna wood craftsmanship.
Inside, a simple chandelier hand-carved from coconut shells casts a warm glow over the comfortable seating area, which leads toward a peaceful open-air bath. Above, the roof is layered with hand-cut wooden tiles, reflecting a delicate traditional building technique that has almost disappeared today.
A Private Sanctuary Among the Trees
